Transfer #10

This week was crazy!!!!!!!!!!! First off... Transfer #10!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going back to Praia, Tira Chapeu.... With Sister Kohlert!!!!!!!!!!! Which is funny we were in the MTC together!! But I will also be the Sister Trainer Leader in Praia!! Which is like Zone leaders, I am just over the sisters here in Praia. There are about 12 sisters; so now I have a lot more work to do. I am super excited!!!!!!!!!!

This week I had 3 baptisms. The first was like any other story, it was a long day and the last door we knocked let us in... Well Saturday they got baptized, 2 sisters.

Then, a man who I have been working with for a long time, he has had lots of problems but finally overcame all of them and was baptized. I have never seen Satan test and try a person so much. Saturday was a beautiful day for him. As he came up out of the water you could see he was completely a new person. I am so happy to be able to see him change so much. This gospel truly changes lives.

Sorry, for the lame email tons happened but time... I really wish I had more time to write more of their stories but nope. Transfers flew into Praia this morning, now it is unpacking and getting ready for a new area.

Oh, Cabo Verde!!

I love Cabo Verde!

This week I met lots of interesting people!! We asked a member for a reference and he gave us one name. We marked a day with him but did not have time. Then one day this week we remembered him and decided to go look for his house. We found his house BUT there was no door... We walked into the store by his house and he happened to be there. We marked for the next day. The Next day when we went to his house and we just yelled his name. He walked out of a wall. NOT a door. We then entered, the second we sat down his started speaking saying, "To speak the truth, I do not like going to church because I have to brush my teeth, take a bath and get dressed but I love visits." He then went on speaking about how he hates brushing his teeth and getting dressed. We were just like can we start with a prayer? After the prayer we started teaching him about Joseph Smith but every other word we spoke he would say "to speak the truth..." then go on speaking about something way from left field; so hard not to laugh. At the end when we asked him to come to church. He told us that he would have to take a bath tonight and sleep in his clothes so in the morning he would only have to brush his teeth. Church starts at 11... Did not make a lot of sense, he was so funny. Then he came to church. Teeth were white and clean. Ha-ha! After sacrament he went to the bathroom and never came back. Later that night he called us telling us he’d left church early because he was alone. He had us and all the other people. I have never met a person like him. But I can tell you he is awesome!!

Hopefully he will get baptized. It was a great week.

Only 143 (ish) days left.....

Whelp, this week went by fast!!!!

Had divisions, I went to Cha Da Marina again, learned lots and lots of laughs. Tuesday was day of women.

Wednesday I had 400 days on the mission! Where is time going?!

A member then made us Cachupa! SO GOOD!!! Then I love it when investigators tell you they want to be baptized. Just have to help them understand the importance! Visited a member this week and received 66 references from her! What a blessing!! We have a ton of work to do this week! Then Sunday an investigator brought her friends to church so we had 9 investigators at church. A record for me! This week was a great week! In two weeks we will have Easter! Everyone needs to share this message!

5 months left!!

Well I hit 13 months this week.

I have no idea what to think now. Time is going by way to fast! Down to 5 months!! I still have so much to do! AH!!!

This week nothing really exciting happened. Plus everything that happened is super complicated to explain over an email. But we found a group of about 5 young women and young men who all came to church this week. That was a miracle. Now it's just the process of helping them all prepare for baptism, as long as the parents give permission. Thank you for all the support and love. I hope everyone had a great week!
